Babygags the concept was hatched in 2000 and launched in 2002, we are the original irreverent funny line of apparel and accessories for wild babies. We aim to meet the needs of 21st century parents who grew up on rock n' roll, were later crippled by a sterile politically correct society, and who now face the shocking joys of parenthood. Most famous for our original favorites like the Boob Man and Milk Junkie tag lines.

The full design inspiration is centered around Trash Talking Babies, Breast Feeding Spoofs, and the innate Bleeding Heart political nature we all come with. The product line currently includes cotton layette gift sets for kids 0-6 years old, head-wear, bibs, bottles, dishes, birth announcements, and now funny socks.

Babygags was founded when the ice of Canada cracked and a wild nephew crawled out.. Gag gifts were needed to roast nephew Jack Foster from Vancouver Canada who is the "wild baby" in the babygags logo. The brand was first a graffiti project out of a live/work loft in San Francisco.

The founder's friends entered a phase of mass reproduction, and then of course many awesome stores requested to sell the line and helped us spread the gags.

Babygags was founded in San Francisco by Shelley Foster.

Shelley, originally from Alberta Canada completed her international MBA. She first went to Latin America to work in new business development, and shortly after she was offered a position in the US with Nike Inc. in their new business/equipment division. Here she was able to refine her new business skills and learn the product creation and branding game by taking great concepts through to market.

She was later recruited to work in the Surf Lifestyle industry where she managed Reef Brazi's women's and kids division. After learning how to make products from a-z, she was looking to start her own business, and the baby biz offered a fun kick start to her entrepreneurial path.

So she could maintain a day job when the Babygags idea hatched, Shelley quickly rounded out her initial brew crew with her good friend and graphic designer John Spolyar, and sales whiz mom Colleen Foster to help her get the company off the ground.

Over 5 years later Babygags is supported by a fabulous network of sales representatives and partners from coast to coast. Babygags products can be found in many cool nooks and crannies in the United States, Canada, Europe and a few hot spots in Asia.
